New MIDI support in Pd for Android

Pd for Android now supports MIDI over USB as well as Bluetooth. Check it out: https://github.com/libpd/pd-for-android

When you pull the latest revision from GitHub, make sure to say “git submodule init” and “git submodule update” because the MIDI components require a new git module. Once you’ve got the latest version, you need to import the AndroidMidi project into Eclipse.

Improved MIDI support in Objective-C

OpenSL support for Android released

After many months of testing and tweaking, the new, OpenSL-based version of Pd for Android has finally been released. Highlights include support for low-latency features on recent Nexus devices as well as greatly improved support for Pd externals. Get it while it’s hot! https://github.com/libpd/pd-for-android

libpd.cc, a New Showcase for libpd

We’re pleased to be launching libpd.cc, a homepage for the libpd library and a growing showcase for what the Pure Data community is doing with an embeddable version of Pd.

As the use of libpd grows, we wanted to create a place that could show off the cool stuff users are doing, and to help newcomers find a place to begin. The new site will be curated by Create Digital Music, but will also lead to open forums and of course all the open source activity on GitHub. We encourage your feedback and input as we work on this site.
